Jennifer Lopez is once again searching for a buyer for the Beverly Hills mansion she has been trying to sell for years after a potential deal reportedly collapsed.

According to sources with direct knowledge, the prospective buyer had entered escrow and paid a substantial deposit, apparently intending to purchase the luxurious $50 million property. However, the buyer unexpectedly walked away from the deal for an undisclosed reason, leaving Lopez and her real estate agents back at square one.

The sprawling Beverly Hills estate has a complicated history. Lopez and Ben Affleck purchased the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom mansion together in May 2023, paying nearly $61 million for the property. The purchase came during their relationship, but the couple separated roughly a year later.

Their divorce was eventually finalized in January 2025, leaving the future of their jointly owned mansion uncertain. The property was subsequently put on the market several times as Lopez attempted to move on from the home.

The mansion was initially listed for approximately $68 million in July 2024. Despite the property’s luxurious features and prestigious Beverly Hills location, it struggled to attract a buyer at that price. The asking price was gradually reduced as Lopez continued trying to sell the estate.

Eventually, Affleck reportedly decided to give Lopez his entire share of the property. That arrangement gave Lopez full ownership and potentially positioned her to make a significant profit if she could sell the mansion for a price substantially higher than what the couple originally paid.

However, the latest failed transaction means Lopez remains the sole owner and seller of the property. The buyer’s decision to withdraw after placing a sizable deposit adds another unexpected chapter to the mansion’s lengthy sales history.

The Beverly Hills estate remains one of the most notable properties associated with Lopez and Affleck’s relationship. With the previous buyer now out of the picture, Lopez’s representatives will once again need to find someone willing to meet the asking price and complete the purchase.

The property is represented by Rayni and Branden Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates, who continue to handle the listing.

For Lopez, the failed deal means the search for a new owner continues, while the luxurious mansion remains a significant reminder of her former marriage to Affleck and one of the couple’s biggest shared purchases.
