Meet Gonzalo Hevia Baillères, the Mexican Heir Reportedly Linked to Emma Watson

Having become one of the most influential actresses of her generation, Emma Watson rose to international fame thanks to her role as the unforgettable Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise.

Over the years, her impact has extended far beyond film: she’s been a muse for Prada and a United Nations ambassador, among other projects that have solidified her public profile. However, despite her enormous media exposure, the actress has always tried to keep her private life out of the spotlight.

For months, reports had been circulating linking her romantically to businessman Gonzalo Hevia Baillères and while the pair have largely kept their relationship private, everything appeared to change after they were seen kissing at an airport. In new photos obtained by HELLO!, the actress was spotted canoodling with her rumoured love interest, proving their romance is well and truly on.

New photos

Emma and Gonzalo were pictured jetting off on a romantic trip to Mexico together, cuddling up at the airport as they waited to board their flight. The couple were seen in the queue to drop off their luggage, sharing a sweet kiss and a hug.

Dressed down in a grey sweater and casual shorts, The Perks of Being a Wallflower star flew under the radar by donning a pink baseball cap and wearing her hair up in a bun, carrying her in-flight essentials in a designer backpack. The lovebirds were also spotted taking a coffee break as they waited in the departures lounge.

Yet more photos from their romantic break in Mexico showed the star enjoying an intimate dinner date with Gonzalo in a dimly-lit restaurant. The couple only had eyes for each other as they chatted over dinner.

Who is Gonzalo Hevia Baillères?

Gonzalo is a Mexican entrepreneur who has been linked to one of the country’s wealthiest families, according to International Business Times and Forbes. While their exact new worth is unknown, reports estimate that it could sit anywhere between $6.65 billion and $19.7 billion, as per Cosmopolitan. He has previously been romantically linked to Mexican actress and singer Belinda, who dedicated the song “Heterocromía” – a reference to the genetic condition he has – to him.

According to Quién magazine, Emma and Gonzalo were first spotted together in Courchevel, an exclusive destination set against the backdrop of the French Alps and a favourite spot for winter getaways.

They soon traded the snowy slopes of the European mountains for the idyllic beaches of Punta Mita, one of the most sought-after destinations on Mexico’s Pacific coast. There, they have reportedly been spotted on several occasions in recent months, enjoying romantic dinners by the sea and sharing affectionate moments together.

Emma and Gonzalo’s shared interests

Although their relationship may seem unexpected at first glance, Emma and Gonzalo appear to share several interests, including the world of business.

The entrepreneur – described by those close to him as “strategic, curious and innovation-oriented”, as reported by Quién – has built his career in the technology sector, specialising in artificial intelligence, logistics and investment.

It is in the investment space that Gonzalo has the strongest presence. He founded HBeyond, an asset management firm where he serves as CEO. The company has offices in New York, Miami and Mexico City – the latter being the location of his recent appearance with the actress.

According to Cosmopolitan, Gonzalo is also the founder and CEO of Lok, a mobility and logistics startup that offers consulting and services for smart infrastructure.

“We are facing a global climate crisis, and as entrepreneurs we have a responsibility to leverage all available technologies to solve this problem with a greater impact, one that can address the root cause,” he said in an interview with the specialised publication Mundo Ejecutivo.

Emma, meanwhile, has established herself as one of the most successful British actresses of her generation, starring in major productions including Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast and Little Women.

Beyond her on-screen success, she studied literature at two of the world’s most prestigious universities, Oxford and Brown, and is a prominent advocate for gender equality. She has worked with organisations including the Malala Fund and the United Nations.

Unexpected Team-Up: Prince William and Emma Watson Unite for Change

Prince William had plenty to celebrate this weekend, but his latest public appearance quickly turned heads for a very different reason. After marking his 44th birthday and Father's Day with his family, the future king returned to royal duties—and made a surprisingly personal confession about the emotional toll of climate change.

William joined Hollywood stars Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch at a United for Wildlife forum in London, an initiative he launched with the Royal Foundation in 2013. The organization works around the world to combat wildlife trafficking, environmental crime, and the destruction of endangered species.

But it was William's candid admission about his own fears that stole the spotlight.

The Prince of Wales revealed that climate change has caused him "sleepless nights," admitting he has struggled with anxiety about what the future could look like. Yet instead of allowing those fears to overwhelm him, William said seeing real progress through conservation efforts has helped keep his environmental anxiety under control.

He also delivered a powerful message to business leaders, urging them to become the kind of leaders they admired when they were children. With technology and innovation transforming the world at an incredible pace, William challenged CEOs to use their influence to create meaningful change.

The event launched London Climate Action Week, with more royal appearances expected, including the Earthshot Prize assembly.

Emma Watson also delivered a surprising revelation of her own. The Harry Potter star highlighted the fashion industry's enormous environmental impact, pointing out that it produces more emissions than aviation and ranks behind only oil among major polluting industries.

Watson, who is also pursuing a doctorate in philosophy at Oxford, shared a hilarious story about mistakenly believing paparazzi were following her. After spotting photographers with telephoto lenses, she arranged a distraction and escaped through another exit. The twist? They weren't photographing her at all. They were waiting to capture a red kite.

Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch praised William as "a great guy" and urged businesses and individuals to recognize that they can still make a difference, even when global environmental challenges appear overwhelming.

With William, Watson, and Cumberbatch joining forces on the issue, the London forum delivered a clear message: the fight against environmental destruction is becoming impossible for the world's biggest names to ignore.
