There’s always the theme of hope in the Star Wars franchise, and with the brand landing its lowest grossing live-action feature in the franchise with The Mandalorian and Grogu ($345M WW), fans still wanna know: is there any shot in the galaxy that Disney/Luscasfilm would re-consider an Adam Driver-led The Hunt for Ben Solo project?

Deadine caught up with Lucasfilm co-President and Mandalorian and Grogu co-writer and producer Dave Filoni at D23 and asked whether Kylo Ren would ever make a comeback.
“It’s not here, you won’t find it here,” said Filoni, “The force is not with us in that regard; I love the love you feel for it.”

Ever since the news broke last fall that former CEO Bob Iger and Disney Entertainment co-Chairman Alan Bergman deep-sided Driver and director Steven Soderbergh’s development of a Kylo Ren movie, a fervent fanbase arose rallying the project’s resurrection. The Hunt for Ben Solo was set to take place in the events following Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, and put the former Kylo Ren on a redemptive path.
After an earnings call last November, a plane with the banner “Shareholders Want The Hunt for Ben Solo,” buzzed over Disney’s Burbank lot. Other stunts followed, led by the Save Ben Solo org: In March, professional skydiver Brenn Richards jumped out of a plane with a flag tied to her that read “Save the Hunt for Ben Solo”. She also held a note as for Disney’s new CEO as she plummeted to Earth: “Josh D’Amaro, Skydiving is risky! but…The Hunt for Ben Solo isn’t!”. In January, the campaign had two billboards in Times Square (on Jan. 3 and 5) which read “May 2026 renew hope in the galaxy and bring him home” with the hashtag #thehuntforbensolo.
During the Mandalorian and Grogu LA premiere in May, the fan org hired a digital truck that drove around Hollywood, and again outside the El Capitan on opening night, May 21. The truck returned to San Diego Comic-Con last month as well.

Iger and Bergman’s axing a Kylo Ren project stemmed from the antagonist being dead in 2019’s Star Wars, Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. It just didn’t make sense to them that he’d continue to live thereafter. This despite such characters as Darth Maul, Boba Fett and Emperor Palpatine being revived after their deaths in the Star Wars canon. Driver first made it known to the world that the project existed and was turned-down in an October 2025 AP interview.
But, for fans, when it comes to the future of Kylo Ren on the big screen, to quote Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian, “This is the way.”
The big shocking, but not so shocking news last night at D23 is that Driver is back in business with Disney, just not on the Star Wars side, rather the MCU where he’ll play X-Men baddie Mister Sinister in the next reboot of the franchise.
Cat Deeley shows off toned legs in robe on holiday with her children amid rumours she’s ‘dating again’
Cat Deeley enjoyed a relaxing holiday to Canada over the summer break, showing off her toned legs in a comfy robe.
She also included a striking black bear sighting among the pictures from her summer holiday in Canada.
The This Morning presenter captured the animal across a lake while staying at Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort with her sons.
Cat’s new pictures offer another rare look at family time with Milo and James. The trio travelled to the Canadian wilderness resort during the school break.

Cat, 49, and her boys appeared to stay in a wooden cabin during the trip. One photograph showed one of her sons tucking into popcorn, while another featured the resort’s robes and slippers.
The family also made the most of the outdoor activities on offer. Their holiday included canoeing, boating and swimming in the lake.
Away from the water, Cat explored the woodlands in a top, shorts and trainers. She added a baseball cap to shield her head from the sunshine.
The presenter shared more of the area’s wildlife too, including a photograph of a starfish. She also smiled for a selfie with two women who joined the family on the trip.
Cat took the holiday during her summer break from This Morning, which she has presented alongside Ben Shephard since 2024.

Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty’s split
Cat shares Milo, 10, and James, eight, with her former husband Patrick Kielty. Cat and Patrick announced their separation in July 2025 following 12 years of marriage.
The former couple confirmed their decision in a joint statement and made clear that they would remain united as parents to their sons.
Cat and Patrick first met while presenting BBC talent show Fame Academy in 2002. Their friendship later became romantic, and they went public with their relationship in May 2012. They married in Rome that September.
The pair lived in California for around a decade before returning to the UK in 2020. Cat had previously hosted the US competition So You Think You Can Dance before taking over as one of This Morning’s main presenters.

Is Cat Deeley dating again after her marriage split?
Reports about Cat’s romantic future have also emerged since the separation. In May, The Sun claimed that she felt ready to consider dating again.
A source told The Sun: “She is open to dating again, definitely, but it has to feel right.”
The source added that Cat liked the idea of enjoying “a bit of flirting, a bit of fun, without any pressure”.

MailOnline subsequently reported that Cat attended Lewis Capaldi’s British Summer Time Hyde Park concert with Charlie Coleman, an executive at Amazon MGM Studios. The pair reportedly laughed together during the event, while Charlie placed a hand on Cat’s shoulder.
No romance between the pair has been confirmed, however.
Cat’s Canada holiday post instead focused on the outdoor experiences she enjoyed with Milo and James during their school break.
