Salma Hayek recalls her "mortifying" experience filming a scene for Ridley Scott's House of Gucci, where she is in a mud bath with fellow co-star Lady Gaga. Hayek is starring in the movie as Giuseppina "Pina" Auriemma, a friend of Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga). Hayek can also be seen in the recently released Marvel Studios film Eternals, where she portrayed the character Ajak.
The upcoming movie is based off of the novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden. It follows the true events of the murder of Maurizio Gucci (played by Adam Driver) in 1995 by the hands of a hitman, hired by his wife Patrizia Reggiani. The upcoming movie is Scott's second film to be released this year, with The Last Duel coming out in theaters a month and a half prior. House of Gucci also stars Jared Leto, Al Pacino, and Jeremy Irons.

Now, Hayek has discussed a scene from House of Gucci. On The Late Late Show with James Corden, she discusses what it was like filming the scene. She touches on how awkward she was in the situation, while also comparing her approach to Gaga's, calling her "an Egyptian queen" when entering the bath. Check out her quote below:
"I’ve never done a mud bath – which, by the way, she couldn’t believe it, that I had never done a mud bath – we have a little bit of dialogue before we go in. And once you’re in, you’re naked – well not completely, we had something underneath but nothing on top – and the thing is that, in my head, I was going to sink. Me, with my extra kilos, I sit on the mud and I’m not sinking. And I’m trying to [move the mud away from] my huge butt to make some weight [shift]. And then it starts moving me around and then there’s the boobs going [back and forth], you know. It’s a very dramatic scene and she’s trying to stay focused and… I’m mortified. It was horrific. Most challenging scene I’ve ever done."

Hayek's quote is undoubtedly funny, but it also shows how talented and professional Lady Gaga and Hayek are. Both actresses have received critical acclaim for some of their previous performances. Hayek was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Frida Kahlo in the 2002 film Frida, and has been nominated for other movies since. Gaga was recently nominated for her performance in 2018's A Star is Born, and won an Oscar for the song "Shallow." Gaga has been a tour de force since then, and has been garnering awards buzz.
The cast and creative team behind House of Gucci are definitely propelling the conversation for the movie. With its November release imminent, it is clear that the movie is going for awards. House of Gucci has been receiving positive reactions so far, giving many high hopes for the movie. Much of the marketing has been around the cast, which makes sense given how stacked it is. Audiences can check out Hayek's "mortifying" scene with Gaga when House of Gucci releases in theaters.

Salma Hayek Tells Story Of Her Pet Owl Vomiting On Harry Styles' Head
Salma Hayek, star of The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, revealed that her pet owl once vomited on pop star Harry Styles’ head. Hayek first appeared as Sonia, the wife of hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), in 2017’s The Hitman's Bodyguard. After being a surprise hit at the box office, the buddy comedy will be followed up by a sequel releasing in theaters June 16. The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard will see Hayek step into the spotlight after appearing in the first film for only a few minutes.
After starring alongside Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson in the action sequel, Hayek is poised to have a huge year. The Phase 4 Marvel film Eternals will see Hayek star as Ajak, the leader of the ancient superhero team. After Eternals debuts on November 5, it won’t be long until Hayek is seen in Ridley Scott's House of Gucci alongside Adam Driver and Lady Gaga on November 24. While making the press rounds for The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Hayek has been the subject of various anecdotes, such as her slapping Reynolds shockingly hard, and now she has an even more bizarre story to share.

Appearing on The Ellen Show to promote The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, Hayek recalled a time in which her pet owl, Kering, landed and vomited on Styles’ head. Though she was hesitant to name the “very important celebrity” whose head was the victim of this unfortunate incident, Hayek revealed towards the end of the interview that it was in fact Styles, the former One Direction member turned Dunkirk actor and solo singer. Watch Hayek recount the incident below beginning at the 6:50 mark:
With The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard releasing June 16, Hayek is just about finished making press rounds for the film. However, it won’t be long until Marvel begins the promotional campaign for Eternals, which Hayek will likely be a huge part of considering her prominent role in the film as Eternal Ajak. Hopefully, Hayek will have more interesting anecdotes to share then that could include her high-profile co-stars like Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga.
Hayek is certainly no stranger to action films after rising to prominence with roles in Robert Rodriguez’s Desperado and From Dusk till Dawn. Her breakthrough role then came in 2002 with Frida, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. While she hasn’t starred in many action flicks since then, she will make her highly-anticipated return to the genre with her prominent role in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard followed by her superhero debut in Eternals.
