At the premiere of Alba’s Netflix movie Trigger Warning, teenagers Honor and Haven Warren stepped onto the red carpet wearing two of their mother’s archived designer dresses from more than a decade ago.
Alba revealed the fashion surprise in a Friday Instagram post celebrating #FashionFriday. Sharing a sweet photo of herself posing alongside both daughters, she explained that the vintage looks had a special connection to two of her own memorable red carpet appearances.
“Throwing it back all the way to ‘07 and ‘10 in the sweetest way ever,” Alba wrote.
Honor, 16, wore a teal gingham Prada dress that Alba originally debuted at the London premiere of Valentine’s Day in 2007. The actress wore the dress years before Honor was even born, making its appearance on her daughter especially meaningful.
Haven, 12, chose another piece from her mother’s fashion archive: a denim Dolce & Gabbana dress that Alba previously wore during Comic-Con while promoting Good Luck Chuck in 2010.
Alba expressed her excitement about watching her daughters give the old pieces a new life, writing that she loved seeing them wear items from her archive while adding their own personal touches.
Although both dresses were more than a decade old, Honor and Haven managed to make them feel fresh and contemporary. Rather than copying their mother's original styling, each daughter added accessories that reflected her own personality.
Honor paired the teal Prada dress with black patent leather heels and a dramatic cross necklace that dipped into the dress's neckline. Haven also put her own spin on her mother's old Dolce & Gabbana design. Instead of Alba's shiny gold loafers, she opted for black sandals featuring gold bee details across the straps. Oversized gold hoop earrings completed the outfit and added a youthful touch.
