Trigger Warning, Jessica Alba's new action movie with a 20% Rotten Tomatoes score, has become a global Netflix hit. Directed by the Indonesian filmmaker Mouly Surya in her English-language debut – with a spec script co-written by John Brancato, Josh Olson, and Halley Gross – the new action thriller follows a skilled Special forces commando who inherits her father's bar following his death and quickly finds herself clashing with a violent gang. Other than Alba, the Trigger Warning cast also includes Anthony Michael Hall, Mark Webber, Jake Weary, Tone Bell, Gabriel Basso, Kaiwi Lyman, and Hari Dhillon.
Now, shortly after its release on June 21, Alba's new action movie has become a global Netflix hit. For the week of June 17-23, Trigger Warning was the most-watched movie on Netflix, ranking first in the Global Top 10 with 25.7 million views and 45.9 million hours viewed. In terms of total views, Trigger Warning more than tripled the second-place finisher for the week, Ultraman: Rising, with 7.9 million. Dracula Untold, Inheritance, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning round out the rest of the top five.
Trigger Warning Brings Back An Unfortunate Netflix Trend
Bad Movies Are Topping The Charts Again

Trigger Warning, which has been widely disliked by critics and audiences, has brought back an unfortunate Netflix trend by topping the charts. For the previous two weeks, Hit Man has ranked first on Netflix's Global Top 10. The film played at the Venice and Toronto festivals before being acquired by Netflix. Hit Man reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, praising it as a remarkably entertaining film from Richard Linklater that combines dark elements with plenty of humor and brilliantly highlights Glen Powell's talent as a leading man, resulting in 96% and 91% scores on Rotten Tomatoes.
Now, with Trigger Warning topping the charts, an unfortunate Netflix trend has returned. Contrary to Hit Man, Trigger Warning reviews have been overwhelmingly negative, including much criticism for the movie's execution, particularly the action scenes, suggesting they lack the necessary precision and impact, especially for a film advertised as a female-led cross between First Blood and John Wick. In turn, Trigger Warning has a 20% Rotten Tomatoes score from the critics and an even worse 16% audience score.
Trigger Warning continues a larger trend for Netflix, as poorly-received movies – such as Jennifer Lopez's Atlas, the romantic comedy Mother of the Bride, Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted, and Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon – have all topped the charts in previous weeks. Hit Man appears to have been an anomaly, and Netflix original movies have now returned to form with Trigger Warning.

Fans Alarmed by Jessica Alba's Stunning New Instagram Photo
With a growing number of Hollywood stars drawing attention for increasingly slim appearances, Jessica Alba has become the latest celebrity to spark discussion online over her physique.
Alba recently shared an Instagram photo dump highlighting some of her August moments so far. The first photo showed the actress posing for a selfie in a tiger-stripe bikini, putting her slender frame on display. She accessorized the look with gold jewelry and sunglasses.
The rest of the carousel featured snapshots of the Honest founder golfing with her youngest son, spending time with her daughters, relaxing in the sun, enjoying campfires with friends and sharing moments with her boyfriend, Danny Ramirez.
Jessica Alba Fans Point Out Her Recent Weight Loss
However, many fans focused on the first bikini photo and expressed concern about Alba's appearance, with some speculating about weight-loss drugs despite there being no confirmation that she has used them.
"Another one lost to Ozempic," one person wrote.
Another said, "Not another Ozempic girl, she was so fine."
"Jessica, we love you but don't turn into Ariana Grande," another commenter wrote, referencing the singer's own recent appearance and the speculation surrounding her weight.
Another fan simply wrote, "I hope all is well," while someone else commented, "Not looking healthy at all. So sad."
Others pushed back against the criticism, arguing that Alba's body should not be subject to public scrutiny.
"People shaming her for the way she looks need their head examined. It's none of your business and it's also the reason women are so self-conscious of their bodies. Mind your business and your manners," one person wrote.
Hollywood Stars Face Health & Weight Loss Concerns
The online conversation surrounding the mom of three comes amid a broader trend of celebrities being scrutinized over their changing appearances. Stars including Charlize Theron, Anna Faris, Ariana Grande and Jenna Ortega have all faced public speculation about weight loss, health or the use of medications such as Ozempic.
While dramatic transformations among celebrities have long attracted attention, recent conversations have increasingly centered on stars who were already petite and now appear noticeably slimmer.
However, without confirmation from the individuals themselves, speculation about the reasons behind someone's weight or appearance remains just that—speculation.
