Jessica Alba isn’t quite ready to see her eldest go off to college.
The Honest Renovations co-host, 45, sat down with PEOPLE ahead of the premiere of the Roku Original series, talking about everything from what viewers can expect to see to transitioning to a new phase in life. During the conversation, Alba explains that her daughter Honor, 18, going off to college is an “intense” milestone that she doesn’t think she can “prepare for.”
“It hasn’t really hit me personally, but I think for any parent, just that milestone, it’s intense,” she says. “I don’t think you can prepare for it. You just have to tackle it when it happens.”

The Honey alum welcomed three children with ex-husband Cash Warren: daughters Honor and Haven, 15, and son Hayes, 8. Alba has a close relationship with each of her children, often sharing special moments with her family online.
Back in May, Honor was her mother’s date to a dinner celebrating the joint capsule collection between Paul Smith and Gabriela Hearst held at the Chateau Marmont. Following the event, Alba shared photos from the night on Instagram, giving a glimpse of her and Honor’s coordinating outfits.
The first photo, a full mirror selfie, captured Alba wearing a black top underneath the Angela Blazer in Mountain Virgin Wool. Alba paired the look with dark red flared pants held up with a black belt, black shoes, and a matching handbag. She completed the outfit with gold-rimmed sunglasses. Meanwhile, Honor opted for a maroon mini dress, a brown blazer and brown cowboy boots.
Both wore gold necklaces and hoop earrings and posed for a mirror selfie, which was included at the end of the Instagram post captioned, “A night with my bestie and @gabrielahearst 🤎.”
Alba also gave a before-and-after look at their outfits in a transitional video set to The Walters’ “I Love You So” posted on TikTok.
“When your baby is your bestie 🥹 I love you sooooo, Honorcita 💗🫶🏽💫,” she captioned the video.
The clip showed the two hugging one another and showing off their outfits.

The mom of three previously told PEOPLE that she and her children teach each other new things every day, which is definitely a “back and forth.”
“It’s important to “not take the relationship for granted, knowing that I’m always going to be there for them, and for right now, they’re always going to be in the house,” she said. “We have a really healthy relationship and unconditional love for one another.”
