The actress stepped out for the world premiere of Tatti Ribeiro's film Valentina at the Mill Valley Film Festival in California on October 3 and her hair was noticeably darker than usual. After sporting sun-kissed blonde highlights throughout the summer, it seems Alba was ready to darken things up just in time for spooky season.
Alba wore her new deep brown hair in a center part and soft curls around her face. She rocked an equally autumnal outfit, pairing a strapless gray vest top with a pair of wide leg tailored pants and a black blazer, which she threw around her shoulders. She finished off the look with two delicate silver necklaces.
Alba's deep dark fall hair comes after months of wearing her locks with honey colored blonde highlights. As her hair stylist Brittney Ryan noted, Alba went "lighter and longer" about a month ago.
As Alba explained in a 2022 interview with Glamour, she hasn't always been a fan of switching up her hair. For one thing, she used to hate the idea of having short hair.
"I grew up in a Mexican-American family and they really feel like girls’ hair should be long," she said. "And so when I started acting, I actually got a haircut from Chris McMillan, who did the Rachel cut from Friends."
She added, "I kind of feel like hair… you should just have fun with it; it grows."
