Jennifer Lawrence is officially in her “raunchy comedy era,” and fans are obsessed.
The Oscar winner’s latest flick, No Hard Feelings, has been taking over social media feeds thanks to its wild premise: an Uber driver on the brink of bankruptcy (Lawrence) agrees to “date” a wealthy couple’s socially awkward teenage son in exchange for a Buick Regal.
While J.Law’s fearless performance as Maddie Barker is the main event, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) have been buzzing about the familiar faces rounding out the cast. From s legends to the breakout stars of today’s biggest streaming hits, the ensemble is a literal “who’s who” of talent.
Here is your guide to the stars bringing the laughs in this summer’s most talked-about comedy.
The Leading Lady: Jennifer Lawrence (Maddie)
We all know and love her as Katniss Everdeen, but Jennifer Lawrence is proving she’s the queen of comedy. Playing the “immature and self-centered” Maddie, Lawrence shows off a side we haven’t seen since her Oscar-winning turn in Silver Linings Playbook. Whether she’s tackling teens on a beach or failing to seduce a -year-old, J.Law is clearly having the time of her life.
The Breakout: Andrew Barth Feldman (Percy)
If Percy looks familiar, you’re likely a theater fan! Before he was the timid teen being pursued by J.Law, Andrew Barth Feldman was a Broadway prodigy, starring in the title role of Dear Evan Hansen at just . The -year-old actor’s sweet and awkward energy is the perfect foil to Maddie’s chaotic vibes.
The Icons: Matthew Broderick & Laura Benanti (Laird and Allison)
Every awkward teen needs overbearing parents, and No Hard Feelings hit the jackpot.
Legendary Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Matthew Broderick plays Percy’s father, Laird. It’s a hilarious full-circle moment for fans to see the ultimate high school rebel now playing a helicopter parent!
Opposite him is Tony Award winner Laura Benanti as Percy’s mother, Allison. Known for her pitch-perfect Melania Trump impression on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Benanti brings a touch of class (and a lot of worry) to the Craigslist scheme.
The “Wait, I Know Them!” Support
The supporting cast is packed with scene-stealers that have fans pointing at their screens:
Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Gary): Before he was winning Emmys as Richie on The Bear, he was playing Maddie’s disgruntled ex, Gary, who takes way too much joy in repossessing her car.

Directed by Gene Stupnitsky—the comedic mastermind behind The Office’s legendary “Dinner Party” episode—the film is a throwback to the R-rated comedies we’ve been missing.
With a cast that balances Hollywood royalty and fresh faces, it’s no wonder No Hard Feelings has become the viral sensation of the year. Whether you came for J.Law or stayed for “Cousin” Richie, this ensemble is pure gold!
Jennifer Lawrence And Josh Hutcherson Are Returning To The Hunger Games Universe
The rumors are true, and months of denials have officially aged like milk. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are reportedly returning to the world of Panem, reprising their iconic roles as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in Lionsgate’s highly anticipated prequel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
At first, the idea seemed impossible. The new film takes place decades before Katniss ever volunteered for the Hunger Games, making the return of Lawrence and Hutcherson appear unlikely. However, the filmmakers have reportedly found a clever way to bring the beloved characters back without disrupting the timeline of the original trilogy.
The key is a framing device reportedly taken from Suzanne Collins’ latest novel. The story is expected to feature an older Katniss and Peeta spending time with Haymitch Abernathy as he tells them about the horrifying experience he endured during his own Hunger Games. This approach gives fans an opportunity to see the original characters again while allowing the prequel to remain focused on Haymitch’s story.
The revelation is especially amusing considering Josh Hutcherson’s recent comments about the project. For months, the actor insisted that he knew nothing about the upcoming film and emphasized how much he still loved the franchise. In Hollywood, however, such denials can often mean that a carefully worded confidentiality agreement is keeping the truth under wraps. Fans now have plenty of reason to laugh at those earlier statements.
Sunrise on the Reaping centers on the 50th Hunger Games, known as the Second Quarter Quell. This particular Games was designed to be especially brutal, with twice the usual number of tributes being sent into the arena. The story follows a young Haymitch as he struggles to survive one of the most devastating and psychologically intense Games in Panem’s history.
Bringing Katniss and Peeta into the story through a framing sequence could create an emotional connection between Haymitch’s past and the characters fans have followed since the beginning of the franchise. It also gives Lawrence and Hutcherson a chance to return without changing the events established in the original films.
Fans have already taken to social media to celebrate the reported reunion, with many joking about how successfully the actors managed to keep the secret. The combination of familiar stars, Suzanne Collins’ source material, and director Francis Lawrence returning has created enormous anticipation.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 20, 2026. Whether Katniss and Peeta appear only briefly or play a more meaningful role remains unclear, but their return could make this new chapter one of the franchise’s biggest cinematic events yet.
