It's Jason Statham. You know it doesn't need much ceremony. Man with a dark past, perhaps, some criminals make a mistake and cross him, and boom, before you know it, their limbs are in pieces, and audiences are delighted. That's exactly what you get with this sequel. It's got assassinations, betrayals, exotic locations, and Statham being all Statham while solving problems physicists would struggle with. And now you can watch it all for free.
Mechanic: Resurrection is streaming for free this month on Fawesome. Released in 2016, the sequel brings Statham back as Arthur Bishop, a retired hitman who is, wait for it, forced back into action when an old enemy kidnaps the woman he loves. To save her, Bishop must carry out a series of assassinations that appear to be accidents. Sort of like Hitman really. He's bald too.
The cast includes Statham (The Transporter, The Beekeeper) as Arthur Bishop, Jessica Alba (Sin City, Fantastic Four) as Gina Thornton, Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive, Men in Black) as Max Adams, Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as Mei, Sam Hazeldine (Slow Horses, The Huntsman: Winter’s War) as Crain, Rhatha Phongam (Only God Forgives, The Protector 2) as Courier, and John Cenatiempo (The Sopranos, The Equalizer) as Jeremy.
What's Jason Statham Making Next?
Statham's biggest confirmed new project is The Beekeeper 2, where Statham returns as Adam Clay. It’s directed by Timo Tjahjanto instead of David Ayer, and it's got a release date set for January 15, 2027. The cast also includes returning names like Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave, with Yara Shahidi, Pom Klementieff, and Adam Copeland joining the Hive. However, he is reuniting with Ayer for John Doe, an action thriller written by Zak Penn, with production being lined up to begin in September 2026.
However, the project we are most thrilled about? Statham is working with David Leitch on a film called Jason Statham Stole My Bike. The plot seems mysterious based on that title doesn't it? Leitch, speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub, revealed the story, up to a point.
“No, he's playing Jason Statham. He's playing himself. I think that that's what's really interesting about it to me. I think it's different than some of these other meta movies. We're just really trying to capture something comedic and fun. Obviously, there are some referential things going on. There is a four-quadrant element to it. It's fun, and it's family, and it's a chance for Jason and I to do something we've been wanting to do for a long time, and that's, really, get together and make a story with a heart.”

Fans Alarmed by Jessica Alba's Stunning New Instagram Photo
With a growing number of Hollywood stars drawing attention for increasingly slim appearances, Jessica Alba has become the latest celebrity to spark discussion online over her physique.
Alba recently shared an Instagram photo dump highlighting some of her August moments so far. The first photo showed the actress posing for a selfie in a tiger-stripe bikini, putting her slender frame on display. She accessorized the look with gold jewelry and sunglasses.
The rest of the carousel featured snapshots of the Honest founder golfing with her youngest son, spending time with her daughters, relaxing in the sun, enjoying campfires with friends and sharing moments with her boyfriend, Danny Ramirez.
Jessica Alba Fans Point Out Her Recent Weight Loss
However, many fans focused on the first bikini photo and expressed concern about Alba's appearance, with some speculating about weight-loss drugs despite there being no confirmation that she has used them.
"Another one lost to Ozempic," one person wrote.
Another said, "Not another Ozempic girl, she was so fine."
"Jessica, we love you but don't turn into Ariana Grande," another commenter wrote, referencing the singer's own recent appearance and the speculation surrounding her weight.
Another fan simply wrote, "I hope all is well," while someone else commented, "Not looking healthy at all. So sad."
Others pushed back against the criticism, arguing that Alba's body should not be subject to public scrutiny.
"People shaming her for the way she looks need their head examined. It's none of your business and it's also the reason women are so self-conscious of their bodies. Mind your business and your manners," one person wrote.
Hollywood Stars Face Health & Weight Loss Concerns
The online conversation surrounding the mom of three comes amid a broader trend of celebrities being scrutinized over their changing appearances. Stars including Charlize Theron, Anna Faris, Ariana Grande and Jenna Ortega have all faced public speculation about weight loss, health or the use of medications such as Ozempic.
While dramatic transformations among celebrities have long attracted attention, recent conversations have increasingly centered on stars who were already petite and now appear noticeably slimmer.
However, without confirmation from the individuals themselves, speculation about the reasons behind someone's weight or appearance remains just that—speculation.
