Emmerdale has announced that this already dramatic wedding week is set to take another intense turn, as the latest stunt is set to lead into an even bigger one. And a fan-favourite character’s life is hanging in the balance.
Tonight’s episode began in The Woolpack, where Caleb and Ruby Miligan boasted about how they’ve ruined Joe’s day and his life, ripping out Joe’s heart in exchange for how he ripped out Caleb’s kidney.
Away from the village, Billy Fletcher threw away Dawn and the kids’ phones, while Dawn herself started to have doubts about whether Joe Tate actually attacked him. She asked Billy if he was certain about what happened, given he was attacked from behind.
Eventually, Billy admitted that he let Dawn believe the lie. Partly because he knows Joe is dangerous anyway, but mostly because he’s still in love with Dawn and wants to start a new life with her.
Dawn rejected Billy. She called him “pathetic”, “jealous” and “the real monster”, before heading back to the car. Billy insisted that she couldn’t go back to the village as Caleb would have already “stuck the knife in”.
Dawn didn’t listen and drove back to the village without him. She almost ran Caleb over before she called him out and landed a punch right in the middle of his face.
Elsewhere in the village, Nicola King arrived home to see that Jimmy was planning a secret surprise for her, but told her that she needed to cycle to where it was while as he drove there with all the stuff in tow.
Joe went to the wedding tent and sent all the staff away before throwing chairs around and drinking straight from the bottle. However, the mood changed when Dawn turned up in her wedding dress and begged for forgiveness.
“Will you still marry me?” she asked, but before he could give his answer, a van proceeded to crash into the tent.
The final shot showed Jimmy unconscious at the wheel and Joe passed out on the floor under a deco truss, but no sign of Dawn….
We don’t know why Jimmy veered so violently off course, but newly-released spoilers tease that things are about to get far more dangerous.

Emmerdale is heading toward one of its most devastating wedding disasters yet, as Dawn Taylor’s desperate attempt to repair her relationship with Joe Tate is suddenly thrown into chaos. What should have been a second chance for the couple quickly turns into a terrifying fight for survival when Jimmy King loses control of his car and crashes directly into the wedding marquee.

The trouble began long before the wedding itself. Billy therefore allowed Dawn to continue believing something that was not true.
For a while, it seemed as though he might get away with it. Dawn was committed to leaving, and everything appeared ready for the couple to disappear from the village. But then Graham Foster discovered what Dawn was planning.
When Graham saw Dawn packing the car, he confronted her and tried to stop her from leaving. Dawn was unwilling to listen, especially because she believed she had finally made her decision about Joe.
However, Graham raised an important question.
He challenged Dawn over how Billy could possibly know that Joe was responsible for the attack when Billy had been attacked from behind. His argument planted a dangerous seed of doubt in Dawn’s mind.
