A star-studded crowd was present for Team USA’s match against the Turkish national team in the 2026 World Cup on Thursday, June 25, at Los Angeles Stadium.
In a gripping final few minutes, Turkey beat Team USA 3 – 2. Baris Alper Yilmaz scored Turkey’s second goal 31 minutes into the match, and 18 minutes later, Team USA’s Sebastian Berhalter tied the match at 2-2.
Turkey’s Kaan Ayhan eventually scored the winning goal seven minutes into stoppage time. Although the U.S. men lost the game, they already secured a spot in the next round. They will play Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 1 in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Despite the loss, there was a star-studded turnout as celebrities enjoyed the World Cup in Los Angeles.
